1.- Filing information – Cuba Patent
For Convention Applications or Direct Applications
- Our filled out patent order form.
- Copy of the specification of invention including claims and drawings.
- Spanish translation (Specifications and Priority document). To be filed within 60 days.
- Declaration of Inventor in favor of the applicant, if applicant is different than the inventor.
- Certified Priority Document with application number and country of origin.
- Company’s copy of incorporation document with translation (if applicable).
For Applications based on International Applications (PCT)
- Our filled out patent order form.
- PCT publication and International Search Report.
- Indication if Preliminary Examination has been taken (Chapter II).
- Spanish translation indicating if there has been any amendment to the PCT original filing (it has to be filed within 60 days; it has to be a certified translation).
Note:
Patent Applications based on International Applications (PCT) can be filed within 30 months from the original filing date and the documents can be presented in the original language. Certified translation can be filed later.
2.- Power of Attorney
Power of Attorney in the name of our Cuban Patent Agent to act before the Cuban Patent Office. Simple signed copy, no legalization is needed. To be presented within 60 days. Late
