Ireland Patent Requirements
  Patent in Ireland: In order to apply and file for a patent in Ireland you need to provide 1. Patent Information, and you need to send to the Attorney the 2. Power of Attorney for Ireland and the 3. Assignment Document if required.
 

1.- Filing information – Ireland Patent

  • Name and address of the applicant.
  • Name, address and citizenship of the Inventor(s).
  • Invention Title, Abstract of the Invention, Utility Model or Design.
  • Invention, Utility Model or Design Text Description.
  • Claims.
  • Set of formal drawings.
  • Assignment document if applicant is different than the inventor.
  • Official certified priority document, including priority number and country of origin.
  • Official search results from the Patent Office where the patent was first filed.

In Ireland it is not possible to file directly from a PCT international application, the filing can only be done by designating Ireland in a European patent application derived from the PCT application. The same happens with Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Monaco and the Netherlands.
