Moldova Patent Requirements
  Patent in Moldova: In order to apply and file for a patent in Moldova you need to provide 1. Patent Information, and you need to send to the Attorney the 2. Power of Attorney for Moldova and the 3. Assignment Document if required.
 

1.- Filing information – Moldova Patent

  • Name and address of the applicant.
  • Name, address and citizenship of the Inventor(s).
  • Invention Title, Abstract of the Invention, Utility Model or Design.
  • Invention, Utility Model or Design Text Description.
  • Claims.
  • Set of formal drawings.
  • Official certified priority document, including priority number and country of origin
  • Official search results from the Patent Office where the patent was first filed

Exam:

There are two kinds of examination:

a) At the responsibility of the applicant(s), without fundamental examination of the invention

Official fee: USD 200

Time of examination: 6 months

Requirements: Search Report from the Official International Authority

b) With fundamental examination of the invention

Official fee, including preparation of the Search Report: USD 600 Time of examination: 18 months from filing date of the examination request

Official fee, when the Official report is annexed: USD 350Time of examination: 9 months from filing date of the Official Search Report

What happens if the inventor does not elect to take the examination?

If the client does not file the request for examination in due time - within 30 month from the date of National Phase opening - the patent application will be considered withdrawn.
