Filling Timelines
The time limit for the PCT national phase entry is 30 months from the earliest date of priority and 12 months for non-PCT application.
The time limit for filing a design in Egypt is 6 months from the earliest date of priority. The deadline can be restored within three months.

The ¨Request for Examination¨ must be filed within 12 months from the publication of the application.
Formal and substantive examination are carried out within 12-18 months from the filing date.
Granting
Once the application has been accepted for granting the applicant will have to pay the ¨Patent Grant¨ fees within 60 days acceptance notice.
Official fees must be paid for the granting along with service fees will be charged for obtaining the certificate, reviewing, and reporting.
